San Clemente Window Cleaning
Residential Window Cleaning, Inside and Out
Clean glass on both sides, priced clearly, with a real quote before we start.
Speak to a Local Window Cleaner NowYou can usually tell a San Clemente window from a window somewhere inland just by looking at it. The outside carries a faint haze from the marine layer, the lower corners have that chalky ring from a sprinkler that hits the glass every morning, and the inside — the side nobody budgets for — has its own film from cooking, candles, and whatever gets tracked in off the Beach Trail. We clean both sides, and we price them separately, because they’re genuinely two different jobs that call for two different approaches.
This page covers exactly what’s included in a residential visit, how exterior and interior cleaning differ, what changes depending on which part of San Clemente you’re in, and the questions we hear most often from homeowners before they book.
Why Residential Glass Here Gets Dirty Differently Than Inland Homes
A home in Talega or Forster Ranch deals mostly with dust, pollen and whatever a Santa Ana wind kicks up off the hillsides. A home closer to the water — Pier Bowl, North Beach, the streets right off the pier — gets that on top of salt film from the marine layer, which settles overnight and bakes onto the glass by afternoon. Hillside homes in Marblehead and Rancho San Clemente often have the largest panes and the most direct sun exposure, which makes streaking more obvious and buildup easier to spot from across a room rather than up close.
None of this is complicated, but it does mean the right approach depends on which side of town you’re on. A ground-floor condo in Southwest San Clemente with mature landscaping is going to collect dust and pollen in the tracks. A two-story home near Dana Point with ocean-facing glass is going to show salt film first. We ask a few quick questions on the phone precisely so we’re not guessing at which problem we’re actually solving.
Two Services, Priced Separately
Exterior and interior window cleaning aren’t the same job, and bundling them into one flat rate usually means one side gets shortchanged. Here’s how we split the two.
🏠 Exterior Clean
Covers the glass, frames and sills on every window booked. Screens are washed and rehung, tracks are cleared of grit and debris.
Hard water and salt film treatment are available as a separate step, quoted after we see what the glass actually needs.
🫣 Interior Clean
Covers interior glass and sills, worked carefully around furniture, floors and window coverings.
Priced on its own since it takes more time per window than exterior work does.
What’s Included in an Exterior Clean
Every exterior visit covers the glass, frames and sills on each window you book. Screens come off, get washed, and go back on the same visit. Tracks get cleared of the grit that a wind storm packs into them, since a clean window sitting in a gritty track doesn’t actually look finished. If there’s hard water spotting or salt film that a standard wash won’t lift, that’s its own step — we test a small section first, then treat the rest once we know how the glass is going to respond to it.
What’s Included in an Interior Clean
Interior work is slower by nature. We’re moving around furniture, stepping over rugs, and working near curtains and blinds without snagging them, which is part of why it’s priced on its own rather than tacked onto every exterior visit automatically. Sills get wiped on the inside too, and we’re careful around anything stored on a windowsill. If a window has condensation or a cloudy look between the panes, that’s usually a seal issue rather than dirt, and cleaning won’t fix it — we’ll tell you plainly if that’s what we’re looking at rather than charge you for a wash that won’t change anything.

How Often Does a San Clemente Home Actually Need Both Sides Cleaned?
Exteriors usually need attention every few months near the coast, less often further inland where there’s less salt exposure. Interiors run on a different rhythm entirely — most homeowners find once or twice a year is enough unless there’s a reason to do it more, like getting a house ready to list, cleaning up after a remodel, or getting a rental turned around between guests. There’s no single right answer here; it depends on how the house is used, which way the windows face, and how close you are to the water.
Can I Book Just a Few Problem Windows Instead of the Whole House?
Yes. Some calls are for the whole property, and some are for the one sliding door that catches the afternoon sun and shows every streak, or the two upstairs windows that haven’t been touched since the house was built. Either way works — describe what you’re dealing with when you call and we’ll quote exactly that, not a whole-house minimum you don’t need.
What’s the Difference Between a Standard Wash and Interior Detailing?
A standard exterior wash handles everyday dirt, dust and light salt film with water and a squeegee — it’s what most windows need most of the time. Interior detailing is slower and more hands-on by nature, since we’re working inside the living space itself rather than from outside with a pole or ladder. It’s not that one is “better” than the other; they’re solving different problems, which is exactly why they’re priced and scheduled separately rather than bundled into one visit.
Which San Clemente Neighborhoods We Serve
Residential window cleaning conditions vary across town more than people expect. Here’s what typically comes up by area.
🏖️ Pier Bowl & North Beach
Closest to the coast, so salt exposure between cleanings is higher, especially on ocean-facing glass near the Beach Trail.
🌿 Talega
Sprinkler systems are common here, so we confirm HOA access details before scheduling a visit.
🏔️ Forster Ranch
Gate codes and multi-story glass come up often, so we plan extra time for access before the day of the visit.
🌊 Marblehead & Rancho San Clemente
Large view glass and hillside access, where ocean-facing sides usually need more attention than the street side.
🏠 Southwest San Clemente
Mixed housing stock, so window size and access can vary a lot even on the same street.
📍 Dana Point
Also served for residential cleaning, with similar coastal exposure to homes near the San Clemente pier.
Getting a Price
Call and describe your home — how many windows, how many stories, and whether you want interior, exterior or both. You’ll get a real price range on that call, before we’ve even seen the property. The final number is confirmed on site before any work starts, so there’s nothing added to the bill afterward that wasn’t agreed on first.
